3. Kwanzaa 2017 at the American Museum of Natural History

4. New Year’s Eve Concert for Peace
The Cathedral of St. John the Divine is a breathtaking attraction year-round, but their annual New Year’s Eve Concert for Peace, founded by Leonard Bernstein in 1984, is a city-wide favorite. Ticketed seats are available for purchase, but some general admission seating is available if you get there early. While the cathedral is Episcopal, the concert itself is non-denominational, promoting compassion and hope for the upcoming year. 5. New Year’s Eve Fireworks Celebration in Prospect Park

Tens of thousands of people stop by every year, making the celebration one of the most popular in the city.
