BBQ Bootcamp

Chef/Owner Marcus Samuelsson of C-House at the Affinia Chicago and Chef/Owner David Burke of David Burke’s Primehouse at The James Chicago co-hosted an exclusive grilling demonstration, cocktail reception and tasting at C-View, the rooftop lounge on the 29th floor of the Affinia Chicago.

Culinary enthusiasts gathered as Chef Burke shared his secrets of meat grilling while Chef Samuelsson focused on oceanic fare. Throughout the simultaneous grilling demonstrations, guests enjoyed an exclusive tasting of the freshly grilled surf and turf, which included Chef Burke’s Grilled Porterhouse Tasting, “Drilled” Corn, Angry Quail and Seawater Brined Porkchops and Chef Samuelsson’s Grilled Octopus Salad, Grilled Oysters and Grilled Hamachi Fish Tacos.

After the demonstrations concluded, guests continued to indulge in the delicious BBQ offerings while mingling with the chefs for an informal question and answer session.
